We are not just a treatment centre!

tribute showtime

It is proposed in the near future to introduce entertainment at the Centre with a view to encouraging co-operation from the villagers by providing them with a free shuttle service, the long-awaited Village Xpress, to and from the Centre and also as an adjunct to treatment for our residents. It is hoped that the villagers will take advantage of our hospitality and once and for all put aside all previous disloyalties and fears and join with us in the spirit of comaradie towards fellow man.

Following aggressive dispute among the inpatients this photo was chosen to be displayed on the Centre's website. You will moved by the newfound discipline and dedication that is evident in their united quest to present entertainment as a group in upcoming shows.

Under the supervision of professorial staff they have been encouraged to begin synchronised movements on the spacious lawns of the Centre. It is hoped that this project will be successful and that villagers will be attracted by the promise of free entertainment, thereby helping to dispel their mass fear of the Centre with the hoped-for benefit that they will cease lurking in its more wooded areas.

Keep your eye on this page for show time details!

Our premiere show opens next Monday and tickets will be available at the gates of the Centre. We have kept ticket prices low to encourage attendances and, of course, villagers are invited free of charge provided they cover 80 percent of their bodies and leave their sticks outside the gate. It is to be said that we hope to provide a major breakthrough both for our inpatients and villagers in the creation of our own theatre.

Please bring your own rug as seating at this stage cannot be provided. You will understand that some of our residents are to remain seated at all times and so chairs are not plentiful as yet. Should the shows prove to be a success we will be approaching the Town Mayor, The Honourable M Oron, about a donation for more chairs.

Villagers please note: axing down young trees in the grounds of the Centre to build chairs will not be tolerated.

This is as good a place as any to give us
a brief comment about your visit here and
any additions you would like to see to the
site. After all, laughter IS the best medicine!

Cinderella Rediagnosed

The Fun Begins!

The opening night at The Centre saw much festivity among professorial staff and visitors. The Town Mayor is seen escorting the Professor of General Surgery as they lead the procession into the main hall.

The Mayor was in fine spirits before he got into the spirits, having confirmed with the Professor of Tropical Medicine that spirits would be bountiful. A small price to pay if The Centre can convince him of the need of a donation for seating and furniture. If the donation does not come through it will be most dispiriting.

Most of the town folk turned up for the premiere of Cinderella Rediagnosed and a handful of wary villagers furtively appeared, no doubt in the hope of a food handout. Inpatients who were capable of comprehending the events of the evening were placed in a long row down one wall of the hall and visibly secured to their chairs. The Centre felt this would be a deterrent to villagers trying to run off with the chairs. Chairs can be converted to smoke and for this reason no laundry staff were permitted entry to the hall.

We are proud to post the main stars of last week's Cinderella. The ugly sisters comprise our Professors of Tropical Medicine, General Surgery and Psychiatry and Cinderella was played by a carefully chosen inpatient who had rehearsed the role continuously for a year. She is still rehearsing the role.

The noise at the end of the show was tumultuous and it was quite difficult to tell how much of it was applause, given the inebriated shouting of the Mayor and the howls of the inpatients. Nevertheless we are of the opinion that it was a marvellous success and are planning on another show once the Health and Sanitisation Authority has dealt with the hall.

More photos coming soon! Are there musicians out there already rehearsing to be our Tribute Band so to speak? The competition must be immense but keep at it. Auditions will be held soon.

And here is the real star of the show -Cinderella herself - as she poses for her photo shoot.

We would like to thank the local dress shop for donating her beautiful dress and no thanks go to the local jeweller.
